Mr. Dawan is a Certified Public Accountant. A member of the Pennsylvania and American Institutes of Certified Public Accountants.  He spent years as a Regional Assignment Manager of the Financial and Accounting Management Division of the US General Accounting Office responsible for liaison with management in Washington, DC and 14 regions throughout the US for the effective administration of audits and financial systems reviews. 

Mr. Dawan’s work involved accounting, financial auditing and program evaluations of multi‑million dollar transactions, projects and programs of public and private entities. Since 1994, Mr. Dawan has been the Chief Financial Officer of Universal Companies, a successful community development and education management corporation that has produced over 1,500 units of rental and for sale housing, created Universal Education Company that manages 7 public charter schools with over 4,400 students, and provides economic development, workforce development and social services mostly in Philadelphia PA.
